Sky Adventures and Odin #3 !

I may, or may not, have my screenshots in the wrong order. I'm so tired tonight for some reason, must have been a long week. Or it could be the fact that I elected to stay home this friday night instead of going out after work, due to the fact I have to be back at the office at 9am ~sadface.

On a more fun note, I got up really really early for sky and actually lasted the whole run! Although, I don't remember doing the second Byakko, but I must have been awake, as I took screenies...

I haven't done sky in such a long time, but that's because we do it at 2pm CST which is 4:30am for me.... Just a touch too early for my tastes.

Whirlwind Update: MIA??

I know, I know... I've been a bit slack lately. I haven't posted anything in about 3 weeks, I'm a terrible person. I am still here though, I haven't disappeared.. I guess I have just been really busy irl and not had much spare time to sit and write. I waded through piles of screenshots and picked out some of the best and perhaps more significant ones, to give you a whirlwind update of the last three weeks.

We did dynamis a whole bunch of times but I'm pretty sure I only made it to 1 or 2 runs, due to having to work early, or the run starting too late for it being worth my attendance. We got a bunch of drops, listed on www.whirlingwindls.com because im too lazy to include them here. But also because Tzaellia takes much better screenshots than me >:(

I ranked up in campaign battle, I am very slowly, very unsurely working my way toward a higher rank for some Iron Ram gears. They take a shit ton of points though, I will be hacking at fortifications for a while..

Here's a cool one I took, one of the NPCs that you can influence to join with u in battle can turn herself into a dragon. Vury cool!


I finally maxed out my BLM merits :) Just needing to work on INT now, and maybe some more enfeebling skills, I haven't decided yet really what I will do from here. I should finish off WHM merits though, since they upgraded group 2, but I really honestly never use her any more :( BRD has become my main job, but that is ok because I quite enjoy bard and I have nice gear for it. So all is well :)


Dramion has been camping Khimaira lately, he wants a Hauteclaire^^ So we went out in force and killed it but no drop :( Grats to Eugene for Seveneyes !! I'd love one of these for my PLD but I have to get it to 75 first, or sit out there for hours camping it. If I had a 2nd character I would in a flash, but since I don't, it's hard to camp that sort of HNM. One day maybe !!


Shalafi set up a swift belt run and thank fully, I didn't have to work^^ 4/8 though was our drop rate, we went from 4/4 belts to 4/8... I think we broke Coberst's TH >.>;; Mine was the last belt to drop, I was sooo thank ful. I'm lucky though I have only tried this once before so 1/2 is my rate. I know some ppl that are in double digits, having tried this over 10 times. .... ..


I got my Bomb Queen Ring !! Thanks to TeleTubbies LS for letting me tag along, and thanks to Godyss for letting me have one of her spare core items. My PLD is +75HP times more awesome now. Cheers !


Camping Chary again! This time for Matt, grats on your shiny new sword XD I have been camping this one intermittently over the last week but so hard when my play time is in the morning hardly anyone around to help :( I'll have to try on the weekend when there are more people awake and try my luck then ^.~ Grats Mattingly!


Went on a Salvage run trying to get some Morrigan pants, but no cigar. Got a few 15 drops throughout the run, and a bunch of alexandrites. I actually DCd right at the end of the boss, and I forgot to ask what dropped when I logged back in :3 I'm sure it was nothing important, nothing much good drops from that boss (well nothing that I in particular really need). Were really after legs for Odog but no drop :(

I got to try on a Manteel for the first time... (yeah I know, its because I had Marduk's Jubbah before levelling up bard..)

But really. It's pretty gay looking (no offence, D!) I'm not sure how the guys get away with wearing this outside! It does look kind of cool though. In a frilly sort of way :P


Levelled up my paladin some more, and got my LV70 the other day. I want to lv up more but there's so much to do on this game on my list and I really don't have time. It's quite fn though, when I don't have a lazy bard and red mage in my party :3 Not mentioning any names here! (not this party though you guys were cool!)

We went to get our Sea Garden map, took us a little bit but we managed in the end after dying only 1 time ! I think we did okay in the end. Thanks both Glacion and Diogi for putting up with my female directions and map reading skills :D And Grats on MAPS XD


We did my first Ultima! I think I was absent for the last one, or in the NQ party farming chips perhaps. I got to free lot on Nashira Turban though, no one else wanted it and I thought "WHY NOT?!" So grats to me :P And grats to Cheeks on Ultima feet -!!


Helped my lovely Tzaellia with an Ugaleppih Pendant NM run, he had the HQ dagger so ofc drop! Grats! Now he is NQ BLM! (jk his blm wipes the floor with my blm). Srsly. Thx to all for helping^^


This morning's Einherjar win :) Nice drops, got some shiny ores for the linkshell bank.
I have 7 feathers now though... I wonder if Neera's going to make me sit out to be a Odin mule o.O I'd say it is very possible though.. Only needing 2 more to complete set. GoGo Odin! Can't wait to try him again, A.body prz. lewls.


We did a whole bunch of other shit I couldn't be bothered posting about, I'm heaps tired tonight so thought Id make it short. I also hit 92 Clothcraft the other day !! 92.1 actually. just 0.9 til I cap out on these gay bird plumes. Then I get to hunt for stuff to craft like Blessed gear and rainbow capes. Yuck. Trying for some profit synths though, I did 5/8 Qiqirn Sash +1 yesterday before limbus though. I sold 2 to LS mates for cheap so I only need to make 30k off the remainder to break even. So I have 3x NQ (6000g) and 2xHQ (70,000g) after keeping 1 for me and giving one to Tz and Beanie. So ideally I would make 120k profit once it all eventually sells. They don't take too long to sell but there is a few up on AH lately, so will have to be patient.

Going to try make back some money I lost to Anime.. *shakes fist at his randoming, good luck getting ways* I hear all you WW members laughing as you read this.. I got totally jewed lewls. All good though I'd rather lose to him than some newb^^;

Also been trying to LV up my SCH too... half way to 15 now, been doing a little level sync, its not so bad at lower levels, easier to make party in dunes lol.

Anyway, Have to sleep now, I have a really early and long day ahead tomorrow. Have a pile of unfinished work to do when I get to the office in the morning due to my extra busy night at work tonight. Then I have a friend's engagement party after work, which I have a feeling I will be to tired to enjoy. See how I go.

Bits and Pieces

I managed to last a whole month, and here I am with another head cold :( At least it waited til after my birthday! I turned 22 on Monday, I feel so old! hehe jk. But really, 22 does sound older than 21 in my opinion. Apparently I have to behave like a responsible adult lol. We'll see about that.

Einherjar fun~ Did Helmwige's chamber and got the Poroggo NM, fun fight, got everyone charmed and running around hehe we make cute frogs.


Nothing special here, regular old Behemoth, regular old polearm.


I had to leave really early for this one, only was able to stay an hour I think, Lolchipmunk got SAM belt, and Auspice got RDM boots -1, I didnt catch any of the other drops, but I don't think there were too many anyway.


Now, this was fun. We low manned Behemoth as everyone else was sleeping. Dabtuls and I on BLM, and Metzzo on RDM, it was a fun fight, a few close calls, but more due to I was nervous with the ExRa crowd peering at us, waiting to see if we wiped.


Good job, shame on the TH.


Another CC level! As of writing this I am 89.9, and I think once I hit 90 I am going to start on my leather and gold sub crafts. I'm sure it can't be too expensive :3 See how I go, but I do think it will help me a lot with my last ten levels on clothcraft. Don't expect to see too many updates though lol...

Another dynamis, I stayed the whole time though, and what nice drops we got! Grats to everyone!
It's a really really ugly hat. And there's no room for it in my macro, but I really do need to clean up my blm macros, they are all over the place. This puts me at 3/5 Yigit, just need to finish off the feet (3000/20000) and the legs (probably 0/20000). Not long now !

Sorry for the short shitty update, I'm sick with a head cold and wanted to get this out of the way but didn't really feel up to being creative. Fingers crossed for a less crappy update next time!

Unclaimed whut???

hehe chuckles. I love Pirates of the Carribean. Probably one of my favourite movies.


As for things I did this week (and last week, I think I'm a bit behind on updates sorry!), there was a lot of the usual and a bit of the new included. Was overall, a nice varied week. And some groovy screenies were taken, my favourite was the Dynamis Xarc one. You will see what I mean when you read on.



Killed ourselves a Behemoth, and sorry for the ghey screenshot, forgot to take any without all the UI crap (which is a waste of time for the most part anyway as it doesnt even tell you what you really want to know). Gogo Thundercloud.


The next day made up for the crappy drops yesterday, 2 hides! Ka-ching!


So it's true! In the next version update you can totally change your race! I decided to become a Mithra, just cause theyre so purrrrfect.

Jokes, jokes. Why would I want to be a Mithra!? Elvaan's are the sexiest race by far...

If you look closely, Tzaellia is standing right in front of me, and I happened to swing my camera around at an odd angle and found myself with a tail >:D


Day six hundred Turtle, and counting... I still haven't seen any eggs drop off the NQ, I think it's a myth that SE made up so that people would actually come out and kill this thing, because lord knows it drops fuck all else. I do believe that Luciendar still needs it, as well as maybe Kattsy? I can't think of anyone else in WW that needs, I do think that Cheeks has it already, and that all the other monks already have the BB. I could be wrong though. One day !!!


We had a go at hunting sandworm last week, and managed to claim before anyone else and fight it, although we had to kite it around a bit until everyone was able to come out to gather. I really do hate the constant stream of campaign battles in the cities... Makes it soooo hard to get around in the past without that warp NPC. I think they should make it accessible all the time, even during battles.


Anyways.... We got warped to Serket's lair and fought a great fight, and slayed the scorpy well within the hour. It got a little hairy here and there, it is a LOT tougher than the lolSerket in the basement of Garliage Citadel. I remember the days I spent camping that biatch, 6 days in a row I camped and claimed, (this was against other social/event linkshells back on ifrit, before I joined the HNM scene) and not one ring dropped, and had TH2+ every time. On the sixth day, a V claw dropped, so I sold it and bought my Serket ring instead with some money I had saved up as well. Got it in the end!


Anyyyyywayyyyyyyyyyyysssssssssssss................ Wild drops from Serket, a fat GREATS to Lament for Antares Harness, woo~ and to Liliwitch for White Tathlum.

And more WOTG stuffs! Killed my first Dark Ixion (2nd for the linkshell) It was quite a tough fight, took us around 2 hours to take him down, but I put that down to inexperience at the fight, but we killed him pretty fast in the last 30%, once we were getting the hang of it. GREATS to umm... Weedeater for WAR gaiters, ummm Nyanoh? for Azoth, and I think Mattingly for Ixion Cloak. Drops got handed out when I was afk, so I'm not 100% about it. If I'm wrong, just post a comment and I'll update it soon^^ Nice drops though, just needed that cape... My BLM would have a coronary if I got that any time soon. Stupid NMs are a bitch to camp though, stupid thing runs through 12 zones before you catch it. Maybe one day ^^


I took a gamble and went on another Salvage run with Neeble's group, and I really actually enjoyed the run this time, I think the last time I went with them was an exception, I found out later that they always got jewed on that boss, and needed the morrigan bit that drops from it, so did a run just specially for the boss. We killed all NM's and ran out of time on the last boss, but got Neeble a shiny new Enlil's Gambison. Have only ever seen one of these drop before (mine hehe) good job and greats to Neeble!



Ahhh Tiamat. She loves the drama, this one. Another early morning pop, (evening for me) and we just didn't have enough people gathered to claim it, and hung around until RTU claimed, but they had such a hard time of it, I don't know if they have ever killed it before, but they wiped a few times, and had to get Exre LS in to come help them out. We actually managed to claim it at 4% but half the alliance went afk and we wiped >.<; /sigh/sigh. Oh well, next time hey. Was a bit exciting toward the end there, but I can't say it was the best 7 hours I have ever spent...



Dynamis - Xarcabard was a bit gimpy on drops, not even anything nice from SL, just coins. I love this picture though hehe so pretty. Grats boys on your new gears!


Hehe had to include this one, was too good to leave out. Zecilus decided to do a bit of exploring and ran out way too far and aggrod everything upstairs and we all wiped hehe. Better luck next time hon. Also we tried doing that fragment again, but it warped sooo fast... sooo ghey.


Salvage again with Neeble's group, a nice fun run.. With lots of shinies going to the floor. Grats! :3


I think I actually have all or almost all the 15's, but my Morrigan's pieces are with the NPC storage so I got another pair of pants. Go me.


Was mucking around in campaign battle on my PLD to get my level (was like 2000 short) and all of a sudden this dragon comes out of nowhere, Metzzo pointed it out and it startled me, but it turns out its an enemy Beastmaster's pet. Man... If I could call that sort of pet... I'd go level BST right now.

Why don't we get cool Wyvern pets??

Did some sky farming too, in preperation for Tuesday sky, normally I wouldn't post this as its not really that interesting, but Zec and Luci's lots were so bad I thought everyone deserved to see these epic fails. In the end, grats to Glacion(I think) for the stone! GL on your new panties.


Latest cloth achievements: Hit 88.6 Clothcraft and also attained Veteran status! So working on Guild points again, I have about 50k points toward my Tailor's Ring. Vury nice..


I do think this is the first time we have had the Aery completely to ourselves. And this is like 2nd window in too. Just amazing.


So amazing that we got to watch Fafnir eat breakfast too, poor guy never has a chance to even scratch himself every other day...


In the end we claimed it we noticed one of the JP shells running through the tree, so we killed it. Fun times. Everything went free lot and no one needed anything so I got 2x inventory -1. Great stuff.

Overall, a fun packed week, sorry for the late updates, I've been busy and working a bit more than usual, but hoping to have another, shorter update for you guys in a couple of days.
