April Catch up Part II - - - VVhirling VVind

This will be a short catch up post in regards to screenshots, but hopefully I will have a few things to say about the whole thing to sort out a few misconceptions.

I'll just firstly point out the fact that I find it really amusing that certain people read my blog only to elaborate upon vague things I have written and then take it upon themselves to tell absolutely everyone they know, while twisting the facts to the point they no longer resemble my original words. You know who you are lol.

To set something straight, I did not change servers to "be with Lament", I changed servers because I was sick of the shit I had to put up with in LeCielBleu LS, and just felt like a change of pace and scenery. I was sick of doing the same things every day of the week, and feeling obliged to stay up til 4am doing events for that LS. My health and happiness > your game, in my opinion. So having decided I wanted to change servers, I chose Cerberus because I have a friend there already, and had heard nice things about the server and the LS he is in, so that made more sense than joining a server and linkshell where I knew no one at all.

So for those of you shouting to everyone about how im "admitting the real reason" that I came to Cerberus, you can check your facts at the door and gtfo. Kthxbai.

And if I was really secretly in love with Lament don't you think I would have asked him out by now? srsly.

Now that we have all established what's what we can get on with talking about things that are actually interesting.

As most of you know by now, I left Empyreal LS when it broke as a HNMLS and then moved to join VVhirlingVVind LS upon invitiation by its leader, after a couple of friends that had joined recommended me. Thanks to Arawn, Hotchasm and Godyss for putting in a good word for me!

I am really liking WW, they get alot done and are good at it, while respecting those around them. As you can see, I prefer to leave the drama at the door. I don't pay $12.95 a month to put up with that sort of crap. Sorry if that sounds rude, but its really just not my cup of tea :\

Here are a few screenies of stuff we did so far this month. We did a whole lot more, but I just can't be bothered uploading all the shots lol.


I helped Lament camp that freaking bird again.. and again.. I think at the end, he went 0/9 or something, including the times camped on Ifrit. I was really happy to see it drop, then I won't ever have to do it again hehe.

My friend Yuna wanted a hand on the Uggalepih Pendant NM in Pso'Xja, so I went along on BLM. I had not ever done this one before so she ran around showing us where to stand and nuke and explained the whole thing, but I dont know, maybe I was having a blonde day, I didnt really get it until I saw it, and by then I had managed to wipe the party once~ whoops. Sorry kids. We kirred it fine though, no dorp. I have a pop item now too so I'd like to try again and hopefully get a new necklace for my lolBLM. Yuna, when you want to go again let me know, that fight was really fun XD

Dabtuls was here too, but she d'cd half way thru the fight :( /sadface.

Ahhhh Kirin. This LS does 1minute Kirins, it's fun to watch, however I dont really get a chance to do anything, as I dont really have a useful job for this strat. (well i have bard now, but meh)

Takes more time to gather together and get ready than it does to kill the bloody thing.

And here's a random one when we camped King Behemoth, Spliffy is one of our relic bards, look! We're twins!! He has really nice gear... And a ghorn /drool. One day! One day my bard will be that cool hehe.

That's it for the moment, like I said, a really quick catch up, but following this will be a promathia post, as I'm up to 8-2 now and wanted to write about my journey through the last few missions. Sea is a wonderful beautiful place, I cant stop taking pictures of it.

And for those of you reading from Ifrit, I miss you guys a ton, I heard about TRS disbanding after I left, and I kind of thought that might happen to be honest, time for everyone to move on in the game onto bigger and better things. Congrats Stephi on 3/3 Ares, I'm so proud of you baby. When I win the lottery I'm going to send you some ores!! Well when three months is up I can move a mule back to ifrit hehe. Anyway! Keep in touch guys I miss you, I want to hear more stories of what you're all up to lately.

April Catch up Part I - - - Empyreal

April has been an interesting month. I feel bad for not having updated my blog much, but I've been really busy with work, etc, and there has been a lot of nothing, and a lot of everything going on in FFXI.

The first part of it was spent in the new LS Empyreal on Cerberus server. I had a nice time, got to meet lots of nice people, see new things, make new friends. All round nice times. Here are a few random screenshots from my time in Empyreal LS so far:

Got to see a few Fafnir's, but only managed to claim one, while I was at work??!!! Exciting stuff.

We trio'd Hakutaku!!! lol@ full alliances. This fight was so much fun, we got it right down to 20% before we invited some more BST friends to come and hurry it up :P We probably trio'd for an hour and a half, wayyy fun. Maexchen's BST is awesome, he could have probably duo'd with Metzzo's RDM, but I was there for back up :P

This one was when Yoria and I went to duo the ENM at Bearclaw Pinnacle. We were doing so well, but he died without putting up reraise, and I stuffed up with the wrong spell so it was down to like 3% and we wiped.

My first Jormungand sighting! (I hate going up to Uleguerand Range) Crazy times. I really wanted us to go out and fight it, but no one was really up for it.

I've been levelling my bard up !! I love it, it's a lot of fun. This pic was taken before 73 though, I'm @ 13k to 74... Go go go ! Been meriting alot with it, as support bard.... It's a bit boring, but fast xp so hey who cares?!?!

Seraphix helped me fight my NM for a Promathia mission I was on. The Three Paths (PM5-3) sucked a bit, but I got through it eventually. Onto the airship!!

After a few weeks hanging out with the guys in Empyreal LS, the leaders found they were struggling to get people motivated to do big events and HNM camps, so they decided to go their seperate ways and disband the LS. I was a bit disappointed, seeing as I transferred servers to hang out with Lament in his new LS, etc. But it wasn't all bad, I got to meet some nice people and make new friends and explore a new server.

A handful of the members, including most of the leaders, transferred to VVhirling VVind LS (WW), and I was asked if I wanted to join also, and I thought why not take a pearl and see how it goes. Couldn't hurt right?^^

Turned out really really wonderfully, I really like this new LS, its quite full though, somtimes there are up to 50 people logged onto the LS (Not all are there though, a few afks as usual), but it's busy, and there is always something to do, and they get things done as well, which is really good to experience. I don't attend all events due to my work times, but when I work a later shift, and they have an earlier event, I'll go along.

I really really want to get my PM missions done so I can go commit suicide in sea over and over again. So I set up a Promyvion mission for the guys that were stuck on Ouyru (PM4-2). I love this fight, I think its the best one so far (mainly because its lolOuyru when you're a Blm. But the BC is fun so bleh :P)

We took Marthastewart and Toolidia that needed the mission, and my mate Josafath came to help out, and Dataloss and Crinan from Empyreal came for extra Blm goodness.

Before this mission, I organised a run to farm the keys for the 4-3 Sacrarium mission. Thanks to Crinan, Godyss, Dataloss and Josafath for coming to help. We got our 2 coral keys really quickly even without any TH, and we got a Gaudy harness subligar for Josa. I think there may have been one more that dropped but I dont remember what it was.

So after Ouyru we changed jobs a touch and then headed to Sacrarium to do the next one. I hate this mission with the fire of a thousand suns. It makes me cry in the corner with the lights off.

Okay its not that bad but I really dont like this one, so you guys owe me! Just kidding.

LS saw we were heading up there so decided to do Swift Belt run at the same time too. We went in and fought the NM for the mission (After wiping the first time because of mixed communications from within the mission party and the rest of the LS in the alliance.) They headed up and helped us clear the room and we popped the NM and won the mission for Crinan Martha and Tools. Thanks to Josa for sticking around and letting us borrow his Sealion key.

After mission we went and popped about 8-9 swift belt NMs, for Empyreal LS members and also 2 other people that joined our run that day.

3 belts dropped............ and only 1 LS member got it. Congrats Daven XD

I got totally pwnt on my codex.
Time to save up and buy a new one /sigh.

Later on, I found KB floating around and took a pic for fun :) We couldnt really claim it was just me (Whm), Yoria (Blm) and Hotch (Drg).... We would have got raped inside out :\

Good times.

I did my first dynamis run with the new LS, it was actually a really good run. (lolWindurst) We made a couple of mistakes and we needed another BLM or two (imo, cuz blm rocks dynamis) but generally a wicked run. lots of af2's and a 100 coin, along with about 250 singles.

Tonight I worked late, so grabbed approx TOD for Adamantoise, (missed exact cuz i was trying to raise Crinan and got aggrod and died..lol) and now hanging around KB waiting for pop, its down to last 2 windows now. I also reckon Cerberus window is due, certain HNMLS is up there at the moment. And has been for over an hour or more. Hmmm... I might go check that out after KB, I dont really feel like doing much tonight so may as well get the time. I can see Arawn is in the zone, but not sure if he can get the time if hes asleep.. I know that I cant but thats because i dont use hacks on my game that show that sort of thing. Anyways, thats all for now, see you next time.

Sleepy sleepy...

I've been really busy with the new LS lately, having a lot of fun which is nice ^^
We've been keeping an eye on Fafnir lately, but it's harder for us to camp it as the window is getting earlier and earlier (good for me, not so good for EST) and it's a bit too early in the morning for the LS to get up and camp.

I have a huge problem with this HNM though, every time I have seen it this far, someone has claimed it ten seconds before it even loads on my screen. I have too much lag from the 80something people in the zone, with the darters lagging up my screen as well. It's really not fair lol :P It's like it is almost impossible to claim without botting, which we dont do >.>



We ran down to Khimaira last night too, but someone had been holding it and they didn't wipe before reinforcements arrived, which was a shame. Next time!

Our main event yesterday was Sky though, I had a really good time actually, which is suprising because I hate sky normally. This event was overnight for me, I stayed up and hardly slept at all... Only because of no work today though. Normally I wouldnt do that >.> right??

We did Seiryu, Suzaku, Byakko (that one I had dozed off for >.<), and then Kirin. All went well, we got some nice drops too

The Kirin fight was a lot of fun, the BLMS were making a game out of it... Wish i had gone Blm lol. Fun stuff. After sky I got comandeered into the LS BLM manaburn party. Mattis, Shiroken, Cienna and myself went 75BLM, Glacion went 66BLM and Heartsdzire went 74RDM. Congrats on 75 hun! Good job. I also capped XP on blm (wow that never happens) so its all merits from here on out. Until the next event when I have to recap again >.>

I had'nt slept all night so I started falling asleep toward the end of the party... So Mattis made me go to sleep all day, I woke up at 1.30am >,< *shakes fist*

So here I am at 3am... Unable to sleep.... Writing crap in my blog.

I should have had a nap but I'm really just not tired at 7pm when I get home. Maybe I'll stay up all night and go to dynamis before work too, then I can sleep when I get home tomorrow..... Maybe that isn't such a good idea :3

My First Night (and Morning) on Cerberus

So I finally landed.

And Empyreal was getting ready to camp Fafnir. What an interesting time to arrive lol. I've actually never been to Dragon's Aery before, it's smaller than I would have imagined. Good thing I'm not claustrophobic, there were a lot of people down here >.> Well, 70 or so people in such a small space seems a lot to me. I'm sorry. I'm a newb.

Got a really lovely warm welcome from Empyreal, to start with only Simfireball and Hotchasm were on but everyone else started to wake up and come upto DA. Everyone's so nice and made Crinan and I feel really welcome, it was really appreciated.


So I saw my first Fafnir, sadly we didn't get claim. Someone in our party hit their pulling macro about 3-4 seconds before he materialised on my screen. Faf was already purple. Botting {Do you need it?} Was pretty cool to see, the fight went down with not much problem, and then we warped out and the LS started getting ready for Limbus. I took this opportunity to grab some sleep as it was 5.30am and I can't get into Limbus anyways.



When I woke up they were half way through the first Kirin for the day, I arrived and helped finish him off on my lolBLM. Fight went pretty smoothly, and Hecatomb Harness abjuration dropped. Arawn got this one, congratulations!

Above is a pic of me MPK'ing Mattis (sorry!!) I had gotten too much hate on Kirin and didn't realise he came to sit with me while I was healing. Oooops... Sorry everyone, and Mattis, I'll make it up to you. Manaburn style XD (hey, my blm needs xps too ._.)

Our second Kirin was a bit shaky with a half-wipe thrown in for something different. We scored a Shura Togi abjuration for Rafiki congrats! And a shiny cloth for the LS. woot.

After that, I tagged along on my first Nyzul Isle Investigation assault, it was a lot of fun and we cleared the 5 floors up to lvl 80, but no drop from Hydra. That was my last tag for the day so I passed the next run, goodluck to you guys.

I have to go out in a few hours so I might wander around and see what crafting prices are like here and get ready in a bit, I'm going to my girlfriends house for easter dinner mmm... Hope it something good lol. I think I'm staying the night there, so I should be back tomorrow, which is about hmm 9-10pm EST. I think theres an event time slot but Dynamis is off due to easter so I'm not sure what's going on yet. I think they are camping something tonight but I won't be here sadly, and I'll be heading to work soon after Salvage starts on Monday. So looks like that's all the excitement for me for the next couple of days. Mabye I'll get a chance to merit my BLM or level up my BRD. :)

Fond Farewells

And what a teary goodbye it was.
I will miss each and every single one of you and I know that Kaske will take good care of everyone in my absence. He's going to make a really kickass leader, and will more than likely be better than I ever was at the job.

Thank you to everyone that added me to f/list, I will be keeping in touch often, as well as those of you who have me on MSN and Skype, I will still be around. Going to miss you guys a bunch, and thank you for making the last year and a half worth it. Thank you to all of you that showed up to our party, I tried to give as much notice as I can but I know that a lot of you couldn't make it due to the time differences, and I thank you for your kind words and farewells.

This one made me tear up in real life. Sounds sad, but it was my FFXI home for the last year and half. I still remember the day I made it after I quit my old LS. I spent a whole week in it alone with my thoughts before I ran into a few old friends, including Shaunmc and Crinan. The rest was history.
